Salkanpur Temple

The major attraction in the Hoshangabad district is The Salkanpur Temple, which is devoted to goddess Durga. The presiding deity here is Maa Durga Beejasan one of the incarnations of the goddess Durga. The Temple is situated on an 800 ft. high hillock and has more than 1000 stairs. There is also Ropeway service by which tourist can easily reach and also reach by approach road from back side of the temple. It’s over a pond, through the forest area to the hill top giving a panoramic view of the surroundings. The major attraction of salkanpur temple is the big fair held hair in the navratri.
